Representatives of the Ukrainian Energy Exchange took part in the third International Conference on the oil market of Ukraine Petroleum Ukraine 2011, which was held in Kiev on the November 10-11th at the Radisson Blu Hotel.
The event was organized by Consulting Group A-95 and the Association of petroleum products market operators of Ukraine. "The main objectives of the conference was to find the ways to struggle with unfair competition, improving fuel quality and establishment the dialogue with the government, which aims is to improve the situation in the oil market of Ukraine.
The conference was attended by the players of the domestic market of petroleum products such as "TNK-BP Commerce", PSC "Belarusian Oil Company", "Orlen Letuva" and other major producers and consumers. Also the participation of the government representatives in the conference was important, as it facilitated the establishment of dialogue between the government and private oil companies. The First Deputy Chairman of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine Rafael Kuzmin and other members of the executive branch made statements at the conference.
Executive Director of the Ukrainian Energy Exchange Igor Kucherenko participated in the discussion with participants concerning need to introduce exchange trading of oil products in Ukraine and the definition of common exchange price indicators which became the subject of intense debate during the sessions.
