According to the results of the first half of 2021, the cost of energy resources sales at UEEX increased by 20% compared to the same period last year and amounted about UAH 60 billion including VAT. Electricity has the largest share in the total sales structure. Significant sales growth was also observed in other areas of trading, in particular, natural gas, oil and gas condensate, oil products and liquefied gas, and others.


The total cost of energy resources sale by the directions for the 6 month of 2021, UAH incl. VAT During 6 months of 2021, 296 auctions for the purchase and sale of electricity were held and more than 42,87 million MWh (including PSO) were sold under bilateral contracts at UEEX. Thus, 42,65 million MWh were sold in the "IPS" of Ukraine trade zone, and – 221,45 thousand MWh in the "BEI" trade zone. At the auctions for the purpose of PSO 20,61 million MWh of electricity were sold.

Natural gas sales volume amounted to 1 562 million cubic meters. 127 trading sessions were held on the medium- and long-term UEEX gas market. The short-term market of UEEX is also gaining liquidity, which amounted more than 13 million cubic meters of sales amount.

According to 37 auctions results, 68 514 thousand tons of liquefied gas were sold, 66 590 tons of oil products were sold at 74 trading sessions. Sales of oil and gas condensate volumes amounted to 715,9 thousand tons.
