April 2019 turned out to be quite successful for exchange trading. As a result of 55 trading sessions, 1.98 million tons of energy resources were sold. Sales of various types of energy resources in monetary terms increased by almost 3.8 times compared to April 2018.

Due to the interruptions in the supply of imported petroleum products, trade in gasoline has intensified, the price of which rose over the last week of April at 33 706 UAH per ton of A-95 and 32 900 UAH per ton of A-92 gasoline. Natural gas prices remained at a low level, even compared to last year – 6 904 UAH per thousand cubic meters of resource April 2019, which is 20% lower than the cost of 1000 cubic meters of resource April 2018.

In April, 10 new companies started to take part in the trading of Ukrainian Energy Exchange, including the Ukrainian Drilling Company and the Arab Energy Alliance. Recently, market participants have been actively trained at the Energy Trading Platform, which is designed to settle daily imbalances. As of the end of April, 166 companies are ready to work in the daily balancing mode through the software of the Ukrainian Energy Exchange.
